I regret not hanging out with more old friends...
I love sandwiches too.
– Jake Sliva
Merry Christmas, everybody!
It is such a great day, is it not?
Days
I don’t feel quite at home until I drive around the old stomping grounds at night while listening to good music, after hanging out with an old friend.
Tonight, that has been accomplished.
While home is relaxing and comfortable, it feels as if something is missing. I cannot pinpoint what it is, yet I also don’t worry about it.
New York City is on the forefront, and I mean that in...
Forget about it, Sanchez. The old man likes his cannolis.

This is awesome.

I don't have any plans or money yet, but I am...
2 A's, 2 B's
I’m satisfied with those grades.
I’m pretty proud of my consistent 3.4 GPA all throughout college. No big deal or anything.

Rob and I made this last Christmas. I am going home this Friday. Expect more videos.
Stravinsky - Petrushka Suite: Russian Dance (on Vimeo)
Another 16mm short, but this one is by my old roommate, Dan. It feels good converting fellow film students to Vimeo.
Also, my good friends Joe, Eric, and Jake are all in it.
Log
I have the apartment to myself for an entire week. Today is day 1 - already going insane.
I think I have a 24 hour flu bug. Got sick last night and have been sleeping all day.
Feeling very creative right now for some reason. Not enough energy to move so I think I may write.

This looks really neat, and a lot simpler to make than I thought.

I have the itch...
…to create something meaningful.
I am 3 classes down with 1 to go. My mind is at rest in the school area of life. Now that that stuff is complete, I feel the need to fill my time by creating or making something good.
I have no idea what it will be, but I want it to be wonderful.
I have a month until classes consume me again.
Plenty of time.

State of Euphoria
Despite the fact that I have 2 finals tomorrow on subjects I should know more about, I cannot contain how much I love everything right now.
I don’t remember being this happy for this long.
Many things attribute to this happiness, friends and family being the main two.
Here are a few others (some small, some large):
The end of a decently tough semester.
New friends.
Christmas.
Snow.

Fleet Foxes - He Doesn’t Know Why
I can’t get enough of this band.
Also, this video film is amazing.
The Scoop
Here it is.
Myself, along with two of my roommates, Justin & Bill, as well as Kelley, Nina, Lauren, & Celia are all traveling to New York City for New Years Eve.
We are all super excited and we know it will be a blast.
We are going to be in town the night of the 29th through the morning of the 1st of January.
I’m just putting out a call to any of you New York people who want to...
Steve, you look so tough. Like a rich farmer!

Wishing You a Merry ‘Vintage’ Christmas! (via Vimeo) This is one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while. This family made a vintage Christmas video to send to their loved ones, instead of Christmas cards. So cool.
Intensified Continuity
“In the 1920s, Hollywood films were cut quite fast, averaging four to six seconds per shot, but the arrival of sound put on the brakes. Between 1930 and 1960, most feature films contained between three hundred and seven hundred shots, so the average shot length (ASL) hovered between 8 and 11 seconds…
…In the mid-1960s, several filmmakers began accelerating their cutting rates. Many A-films of the...

The end of the semester is very near.
And you have no idea how happy that makes me.
