Steve is an explorer.
Andrew, Kate, and I went in the very old Atlantic Avenue Tunnel today. It’s right by my apartment! It was built in 1844 and closed off and sealed in 1861. It was rediscovered over a hundred years later in 1981 by a curious 19 year old, who now runs the tours and tells the story of it’s history and how he discovered it. It is the oldest subway tunnel in the world.
