Wes Anderson’s films have inspired me since I first laid my eyes on Rushmore back when I was in middle school. I’ve shared his film’s superb quality and hilarity with many through my youth, and they continue to draw me back again and again.

In 3 weeks, I am going to see Wes Anderson and Jason Schwartzman speak about their upcoming film, The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

And for this, I am truly thrilled.

So, for my birthday, I received an amazing package of good things from my friends back in Michigan. I got some awesome old books (Of Mice and Men & Ten Great Mysteries by Edgar Allan Poe), Sour Patch Kids, soup, lots of candy, hot cocoa mix, some Michigan Honeycrisp apples, and a cool 616 area code t-shirt.

Thanks so much guys! It was an amazing and well-appreciated gift. I love and miss you all.
